Vidkap Privacy Policy

Vidkap (“the app”) is a web browser with a download manager, developed by FCS Apps (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app on iPhone, iPad and Android.

Summary

Vidkap has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Everything the app keeps stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. The app does not send personal data, usage statistics, crash reports or device identifiers to us or to any third party. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not use the advertising ID.

Data stored on your device

To work, the app stores the following only on your device: browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs, shortcuts, settings, the videos you download and their thumbnails. This data is never sent to us.

  • On Android, app data is excluded from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.
  • On iOS, downloaded videos are visible in the Files app under “Vidkap” and, depending on your device settings, may be included in your own device backups (for example iCloud Backup).

Network connections

The app connects directly from your device only to the websites you open, to the search engine you choose and to the servers of the files you download. Those websites may process data (such as your IP address or cookies) under their own privacy policies; we have no access to that data. Vidkap does not operate any server of its own.

Permissions

  • Notifications (optional): to tell you when a download finishes or fails.
  • Add to Photos (iOS) / saving to the gallery (Android): only when you choose to save a video there.
  • Foreground service (Android): keeps downloads you started running while the app is in the background.

Retention and deletion

Data stays on your device until you delete it. You can clear history and site data in Settings → Clear browsing data, delete videos in My videos, or remove everything by uninstalling the app. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
